Hi I am Vincent Oliver, welcome to photo-i a website dedicated to the practical and creative side of photography and video. I have been a professional photographer for over 50 years and I would like to share my photographs, interest and knowledge with you.
Victoria station was London’s station for boat trains to Dover, the train linked up to ferries for Calais or Ostend. This set of photographs of Victoria station and passengers were taken in 1973. The trains had slam-door carriages, these caused many platform accidents by passengers opening the door before the train had come to a halt.
