| Head
Alignment
On the i950 I only had to make one adjustmet and that was to set column A to -1, the other columns stayed at the 0 setting. The head was well aligned out of the box. The Head Alignment process only needs to be done once, unless white lines start to appear on your prints. The whole process only takes about 5 or 10 minutes. On the S900 I ran the head alignment every couple of months, or if I replaced an entire set of ink tanks. I have never encountered any head problems on Canon printers. The head alignment chart pattern has changed from the S900 - S830 etc., the chart now includes two extra columns for Bi-directional Alignment. This is presumably to accommodate the 2 picolitre droplets on the i950 (the S900 prints using 4 picolitre drops).
