ZOOQOO.COM LETS CREATIVES PUT THEIR TALENT WHERE THEIR MOUTH IS IN WEB SHOWDOWN

Zoo Qoo is set to become the hottest new kid on the creativity block.  It is a revolutionary new platform for artists to feature their work online across twelve highbrow categories as diverse as animation and architecture.  In order to become a published artist on the site, all work must first gain approval of the Zoo Qoo Council and will only remain on the site if it maintains sufficient ratings from members.  The quality of work is high too; Zoo Qoo has to date received over a thousand entries for their photography section of which the Council has approved a mere three hundred.

Starting in September with photography, Zoo Qoo will run monthly Creative Battle Zones whereby users’ images are pitted in a one on one contest. The victorious winner of each category will lift the hotly contested Battle Zone crown plus a variety of sponsored prizes.

With its official press launch taking place on the 27th of August, Zoo Qoo has seen rapid growth during its development phase purely through word of mouth and is already attracting an exciting 100,000 visitors a month viewing over half a million pages of fresh and innovative content.  Feedback proves that artists are attracted not only by the competitive nature of the site but also by the chance of being spotted by an industry insider.  A key element to Zoo Qoo is that it circulates its best work around its growing list of eager talent scouts and agents.

Tiaraju Verdi, Graphic Design Student from Florianopolis, Brazil says:

“Having uploaded the best of my photography portfolio to Zoo Qoo I’ve not only had lots of interesting feedback for my work but I’m also making some decent money by using their digital marketplace too.  I now have Zoo Qoo on my resume and use it as a reference point to showcase my art.  Through Zoo Qoo, I’ve recently established contact with an agency in London who say they’re keen to discuss an opening they have following my graduation later this year – cannot wait!”

Alongside Photography other media categories on Zoo Qoo include Art, Design, Books and Poetry, Architecture, Animation, Stage and Screen, Music, Games, Gadgets, Fashion and Journalism.

All photographers wishing to enter September’s Battle Zone must register and submit their work to the site before 31st August 2008.  See the Zoo Qoo homepage for details - www.zooqoo.com
